Prison Ministry

 “…I was in prison and you came to visit me.”  Matthew 25: 36

We visit those in jail listening, comforting them through prayer, encouragement and bringing them the Blessed Sacrament of Holy Communion.

As we call upon the Lord to help us in our ministry, we learn that by allowing the Holy Spirit to work through us we see beyond the crime to the basic value of the individual as a child of God and believe in a person’s ability to change. We pray the incarcerated we serve see the miracle of Faith and the light within each of us shine through.  “…let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Mt 5: 16)

 The 2^nd and 4^th Wed of the month we go to the Falkenburg Road Jail at 5:30pm.  The County requires mandatory training and background checks.
