Sick and Homebound
Mission Statement
As representatives of all at St. Timothy, we offer support to Catholics whose health or disability prevents them or their caregiver from attending Mass on Sunday and receiving the Eucharist.
MINISTRY TO THE SICK
Trained Eucharistic Ministers bring the Body and Blood of the Lord to parishioners who are in hospitals, nursing homes and in private homes. As representatives of all parishioners at St. Timothy’s we pray with them, visit with them, and most important of all, we bring the Eucharist to them. The priest celebrates Mass at some of the nursing homes with a high concentration of Catholic residents. Eucharistic Ministers visit the four nursing homes in our parish at least once a week and bring the Eucharist to the residents who cannot attend our Sunday celebrations. Eucharistic Ministers will also bring the Eucharist to parishioners in private homes whose health or disability prevents them or their caregiver from coming to church. All members of the parish are invited and welcome to join this most important and rewarding ministry.
