Sick and Homebound

Mission Statement

“I was a stranger and you welcomed me… I was sick and you visited me…”

As disciples of Jesus, we the Eucharistic Ministers of St. Timothy, joyfully offer spiritual support to Catholics in our parish whose health or disability prevents them from attending Mass on Sunday and receiving the Eucharist.  We do this by bringing the healing and comforting power of Jesus in the Eucharist weekly to parishioners who are in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, private homes and shut-ins.  We pray and visit with them and communicate any spiritual needs that they may have to our parish priests.   We also assist in the monthly celebration of Mass at larger nursing homes and assisted living facilities that have a high concentration of Catholic residents.  We welcome all members of our parish to join this most important and rewarding ministry.
